About Us

We are a roastery and coffee shop owned by friends Kelly Walker and Mandy Metzger. At Long Beach Coffee, we start with only the best coffee beans from around the world, roast them with care, and package every batch by hand. All our coffees are roasted on site and are available for purchase directly or through our online store. Our signature blends can be found at hotels, restaurants, and stores in the area.Our commitment to quality has resulted in an unparalleled reputation and reliability amongst our customers and peers.

Mandy Metzger, your web goddess.

 Mandy grew up in Woodinville, WA and graduated in 2005 from Washington State University with a B.S. in Zoology and a minor in History. She originally planned on applying to veterinary school, but then shifted focus to wildlife when she interned at Sarvey Wildlife in Arlington, WA. Though she still holds a great deal of interest in animals and nature, Mandy’s career path took another turn when she moved to Long Beach, WA in 2005 with her future husband, Chase, who works at the Washington State University Research Extension as a research technician. Mandy began working for Skipper’s Horse Rentals as a wrangler for horseback rides on the beach and in 2006, was hired as a barista at Long Beach Coffee Roasters, where she met Kelly Walker. The two became quick friends and soon began discussing the possibility of opening their own coffee shop. As luck would have it, the owners of the coffee shop the pair worked for decided to retire and approached Mandy and Kelly as potential buyers. Of course, they jumped at the chance, and in December of 2008, Mandy and Kelly became the official owners, much to the delight of all their customers and friends. Mandy also became a mother for the first time on December 21, 2008 when Evelyne Mae was born. Her son, Roman Chase, was born October 2, 2010. Both friends and now co-owners have embraced owning a growing, exciting small business and have made several positive changes. They continue to explore new ideas and opportunities to make their coffee shop better!

When Mandy is not roasting beans or wrangling two little ones, she is out riding her horse (when the weather cooperates). Rainy days find her scrapbooking, writing, or reading. Her current project is to complete TIME magazine and the NY Times’ lists of top 100 novels of all time.
